Shep is no longer with us after a very short fight with hemangiosarcoma-heart cancer.

On Monday an ultrasound confirmed that a mass was growing in his right atrium and was most likely the cause of the fluid buildup around his heart.  After looking at the options, we decided to lay him to rest rather than put him through chemotherapy with a only a slight chance of gaining a few months of time.  We are devastated by this unexpected loss of such a vibrant and seemingly healthy guy.
