Things are still going well at the house despite the lack of power. We awoke to temps in the house in the mid 40's but we were cozy under the covers last night and things were really quite pleasant when I came back in from feeding the horses. The generator was running (coffee) as well as the kerosene heater.

TJ called to tell me that we now have a big generator on the house and one on the barn so we have a lot of power! Yeah. The bad news was that the Harrodsburg water system has gone down again so our water supply is again shut off.

So my warm trip to Florida was short lived as I returned home to a frozen farm.
We are currently without power, heat and our water is just now returning after 24 hours with just a trickle.

We packed up the trailer with Romeo, Lenka, 2 carriages, a golf cart, Rachel, June and Erin to make the long trek from the frosty North to the warm weather of Bronson, FL to attend the Nature Coast HDT at the Black Prong Equestrian Center.

The Black Prong HDT is in 3 weeks and we need to get on the ball, get the show details worked out and me driving Romeo, so I headed to Riverplains Farm again Friday night.
Rachel thought a morning of hunting would loosen me up for driving and I know I am uptight so I agreed. I was riding Ritza again, Rachel was on Bella and Erin D was on Izzie and Frank had the Villa Vanner Gypsy's hitched to the Sport Break. We all were riding in the first field with a possibility of dropping back to third when the coops were too big. I think ignorance is a good thing in these situations. I don't really know to be afraid because it's all so new.
