For us Boston is about eating, drinking, enjoying the city and spending time with Amber and Steve. This time though little Leo was brought into the mix.

Babe, this 3000 lb Brown Swiss Steer, who is a close member of the Renaissance Farm family in Bulls Gap, TN, is causing some head scratching as the UT vet school tries to figure out how to help this big guy. He has a pelvic injury and because of his weight and lack of medical facilities to accomodate such a large animal, his owners are searching for ideas on where to find an aquatherapy center or possible home set up large enough for him. If anyone happens to see this page and has any ideas, please send them my way.
Thanks

Shep is no longer with us after a very short fight with hemangiosarcoma-heart cancer.
On Monday an ultrasound confirmed that a mass was growing in his right atrium and was most likely the cause of the fluid buildup around his heart. After looking at the options, we decided to lay him to rest rather than put him through chemotherapy with a only a slight chance of gaining a few months of time. We are devastated by such an unexpected loss of such a vibrant and seemingly healthy guy.
