Elizabeth gratiously accomodated us on very short notice and on Friday AM we packed the girls up and off we went.
CCDC is a very nice farm that lies in a valley in the mountains of Tenneessee. We arrived about 5pm on Friday and unloaded the girls who settled in nicely and Rachel and I were given a cozy garage apartment for our accomodations, all of which were very nice.
With hopes that it would be a bit warmer, the first lesson on Saturday was scheduled for 11am with Lenka. Lenka was great. She was very willing and did everything I asked of her. We went through hazards, went over the bridge, went through the creek, trotted around the farm and had a dressage lesson with Elizabeth. She was great for all of it.
Rachel drove Sinead who is greener than Lenka and a bit more timid, but Sinead did well for her first time out. I love Sinead's coloring; it is so striking.
So thanks to Villa Vanners, Riverplains Farm and Cannon Carriage Driving Center for making the weekend possible.
