Chardon wins the first FEI World Cup competition of the season in Hannover, Germany after Tomas Eriksson's team had a slip which forced him to stop just shy of finishing his round. Koos de Ronde and Boyd Exell were both using some different horses in their teams, causing some contact problems with the leaders for Boyd and an usual fourth place finish.
