... This has not gone well so they are back together. Many lessons are being learned through all of this. Odessa is a dedicated mother which made weaning via the fenceline virtually impossible. She needs to be moved off the farm. Everytime the baby was of site or the situation changed she would get upset. The vet is coming out tomorrow to look at D's leg and the visit would have been for naught with Odessa calling and the baby trying to get back to her. My schedule over the next month makes it impossible for me to take her off the farm so things are on hold again for another couple of months. It will all work out eventually. |
