TJ has had some help at the farm over the last couple of weeks and things are really looking good. Tyler, TJ's 17 year old second cousin, has been a huge help not only to TJ but he's also my new navigator in training.
The rock driller finished up the holes on the new property the last weekend in June so TJ and Tyler spent the weekend of the 4th setting the final posts and preparing to get the boards on. I ran the weed eater around the house, trimmed trees and bushes in the yard, mowed, and bush hogged the big horse field.
So the fencing is complete, gates are hung, the whole farm has been been mowed and weed eating done, shed in dog yard torn down, room off new property barn removed, 3 of the 20 gates have been painted Regal Red, and the carriage winch install is almost complete.
As I mentioned Tyler is also a navigator in training and despite never having been around a horse he's done great. We drove Emma twice and he even took the reins for a while. I took Odessa to Shakertown again this past Saturday and he was the navigator and tree mover for the group. His new nickname is Paul Bunyan because when you need to have a tree (yes a whole, big tree) moved off a trail it pays to have a 6'5" football player around. Us old folks were impressed.
So thanks guys for all of your hard work. The place looks great!
