After a month of Kentuck weather that created terrain barely navigatable at a turtle's pace, I was prompted to head Odessa to Florida for the winter. We made a stop off in GA for Christmas and barely made it out the day after because of unusually cold temps and snow! The roads while snow covered didn't appear to be slippery, so I headed out in the peak of the Georgia snow storm and headed south. While I can't say that Florida mornings were any warmer the first few days due to an usual cold spell, my northern self was grateful for ground that wasn't frozen and nice sunny afternoons...and no mud!
So my horse will be basking in the warm Florida sunshine while I gripe about the mud, the ice and the cold as I do the daily chores and work to pay for her spa stay.
Plans are to try and do two shows in Feb and two in March...poor Emma is going to be my KY training horse since I have to keep driving something to keep myself tunned up. I haven't told her about this yet and she's going to give me an "Are you kidding me." look when I do.
