I thought this weekend was going to be all about work, but thanks to a lot of people helping out with a huge software upgrade it was pretty much done by Friday evening. So when I got the text Saturday morning asking if I wanted to go flying, I jumped on it.
We flew out of the Danville airport in a Beechcraft Bonanza. I had taken one flying lesson a few years ago, so I sort of knew the basics and Rob let me fly to the farm. Once we got there he took over and circled over while I took pictures. I'm still smiling as I think about how much fun it was.
After flying and lunch with Rob and Marion I decided the 127 yard sale driving crazies were more than I wanted to take on so I stopped by the Shakertown Arts and Crafts Fair and bought a pair of earings. We are lucky to have such a beautiful venue so close.
Marion brought the Bean over Sunday morning and we rode a few laps around the farm and then took her out in the carriage for her first time on a walk about. She was perfect. What a great pony!!
I had every intention of taking a ride on the Shakertown Dixie Bell Sunday evening, but didn't make it because I had to work after realizing that part of the main file server was down. Didn't get the weedeating done around the house either...damn computers.
Finished up the weekend with a meal of fried green tomatoes, and a spaghetti dish with more veggies from the garden.
