I don't think weed eating is at the top of anyone's list of favorite things to do so for the first time ever really we paid someone to help us around the farm. Two great guys that TJ works with showed up Saturday AM and with all three of them working they had the weed eating done in 3 hours! I would have helped but I was told I was slow and there were not enough weed eaters to go around. Darn. What a relief to have the done and the place looks fabulous! Thanks guys!
While the weed eating was going on, Freddie and I enjoyed a drive with his morgan Noah and then joined the guys for a great lunch on the front porch thanks to beef from Stella and vegetables from the Jacksons.
Later in the day TJ worked on grading areas of the new property and I worked the arena and did some house cleaning and other chores.
The best part of the day was Odessa. All of the stuff we have been working on...round transitions, driving steadily between the reins, controlling her speed through the corners, staying round and steady in her lengthenings, etc. all came together yesteday. I was stunned. I kept the session short to reward her for being so good. Hopefully we will be able to repeat the great performance today. She has a great heart but getting through all of her quirks has definitely been challenging.
