Mom, Dad, Trevor and Sparks spend a week every year at the lake house on Lake Sinclair in Milledgeville, GA. This month has been crazy busy, but I worked it out so I could spend a few days with them and still make it back for the Gayla schooling show.
Sparks is pretty game when it comes to anything water related and we spent A LOT of time in the water. She helped me train for my triathlon swims, learned what tubing was all about and came up a with a variety of games to keep us in the water. I was exhausted after the first day. <G>
It's been 20 years since I've skied but I was determined to give it a try while I had the opportunity. Dad pulled out a cobweb and bug covered pair of skies and off we went. I had no problems getting up on two but after three attempts to slalom I gave up because I could feel my left shoulder starting to complain. Trevor, Sparks and I did some tubing to finish the day off. The next morning was perfect for skiing so Trevor gave it a go. He did great and got up after just a few attempts. After some tubing I tried to slalom again and made it up this time. It was exhausting so I could only go for short periods but I was able to get up one ski three times so I was happy. My left shoulder is still complaining a bit but so far it hasn't affected my swimming so I should still be good to go for the race on Sunday.
