This thought came to me while I was out in the 6am dark feeding the horses. I was wondering what I was going to do to keep myself busy all winter when riding and driving wasn't an option. The thought of months of boredom started to stress me a bit when it dawned on me that there are really a lot of ING activities that don't involve a horse or a TV.
So, there is running, walking, hiking, reading, eating, talking, sewing, fixing, Googling, tinkering, building, web page building, painting, thinking, not thinking, sitting, sleeping, feeding, griping, laughing, smiling, frowning, enjoying, Scuba diving, studying, etc. I think I just need to pick some winter goals and start working on them. I had to bail on the Key West Half Marathon because of some physical problems in the fall but all seems to be right again so I'm searching for a Triathlon or Half Marathon to do in late winter/early spring. I'm also going to try and get my Microsoft certifications this winter and I hope to get my VCP (VMWare Certified Professional) cert. in a few weeks. So it looks like my INGs will be running and studying and fixing and updating the Spokes and Spurs website.
It should be a busy winter!
