A carriage ride through Shakertown was auctioned off at the Woodford Hounds Hunt Ball this past winter and MFH Jane Winegardner was the lucky winner.
Yesterday Jane met Fred, TJ and me at Shakertown for a ride through the historic village. Jane rode with Fred and his pair of Morgans Yoder and Noah. I tagged along with Odessa and TJ as my groom.
It was a beautiful day with nice winds to keep everyone cool. This was Odessa's second trip to Shakertown and she was much calmer than she had been just two weekends before.
We think Odessa might be able to out trot the boys. Rumor has it that Noah has been up to 14mph but she was hot on their heels as we went over Kissing Bridge back toward the village. Yoder can't hang with Noah so we might have to have a trot off with just Noah and Odessa sometime.
