TJ and I spent the weekend in Linville, NC driving at the Moses H. Cone Memorial Park and enjoying spending time with Fred and Louise's family.
The drive down was beautiful and uneventful and Odessa settle right into her usual place next to Yoder at Blowing Rock Stables.

I have been wrestling with what to say about a tragic day with our beloved horse Will. When I went into the barn Monday morning to feed, Will called out as if pleading for my attention. I thought he was just really happy to see me until I went into his stall and I noticed he was awkwardly holding up his back right leg.

A carriage ride through Shakertown was auctioned off at the Woodford Hounds Hunt Ball this past winter and MFH Jane Winegardner was the lucky winner.

Yesterday Jane met Fred, TJ and me at Shakertown for a ride through the historic village.  Jane rode with Fred and his pair of Morgans Yoder and Noah.  I tagged along with Odessa and TJ as my groom.

Mr. President, it has come to my attention that you’re having some challenges with the economy. If I understand things correctly, we’re in a recession, consumer confidence and spending is down, credit is tight, investors are spo oked, we need renewable energy, and health care costs are through the roof. Trillions of dollars, not to mention our future, are at stake. Mr. President, I’m just a regular citizen, but I think I have a solution. Give every American a horse.
